The Sticking Place

Falconry is often referred to as the ‘sport of kings,’ and this is certainly the case in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The late King Faisal passed on his ancestral love of falcons to his son, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal. An acclaimed poet and painter, Prince Khalid is today the Governor of the Asir and the inspiration and driving force behind the Kingdom’s own Falcon Breeding Centre, one of the largest and most successful in the world. The story of the Centre’s inception and rapid development is a modern legend, richly deserving a place in the annals of the Kingdom’s many enduring achievements.
