Fresh from their sell-out Edinburgh run, The Showstoppers extend their London residency to June 2009.
Inspired by audience suggestions and entirely improvised from start to finish, Showstopper challenges its performers to ad-lib a complete musical, creating song and dance routines in a variety of styles and genres.

The London 50-Hour Improvathon
February 6th – 8th at The People Show Studios, Bethnal Green.

The only event of its kind in Europe. A 50-hour non-stop improvised narrative featuring over 50 musicians and actors all directed live by the award-winning Dana Andersen. Following the huge success of the 2008 Improvathon, we are committed to making this an annual event in association with the Die-Nasty troupe from Edmonton, Canada. Full details can be found here.

National Youth Theatre
The Sticking Place remain closely linked with the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain following their collaborations on Chaos of Delight at Soho Theatre and Teenager In Love for the NYT’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Adam Meggido’s stage adaptation of Tolstoy’s Resurrection is commissioned for performance in late 2009. Details to follow.
Terror 2009
After a year in the dark, The Sticking Place will hold its sixth annual season of Horror Theatre and Grand Guignol October-November 2009.
