  • To provide high quality and affordable opportunities for the development of new writing.
  • To create and explore new ways of being in the theatre and to promote the existence of a genuine theatre community.
  • To generate a North London new writing festival which is enjoyable, exciting, varied, experimental and available to the community at low prices.

The Guerrilla Theatre Experiments, held twice each year, have encouraged new writers to develop and showcase their work in a vibrant and exciting environment. Up to twelve productions are hosted by the venue within a month.

The companies have limited resources to work with and a set of Guerrilla Rules to which they must comply. These rules not only ensure the raw edge of theatre is preserved but also challenge traditional methods of production - all props must fit in a single box and participants are not allowed to bitch, moan or gossip in the theatre or dressing room!

In 2005, the experiments expanded to include Guerrilla Comedy, offering platforms to up-and-coming groups as well as established comedians such as Sean Hughes, Jimmy Carr and Daniel Kitson.
