An evening of Competitive Poltroonery with teams from London, Liverpool and Newcastle. Featuring improvised sonnets, recreated ‘lost’ scenes, unfunny comedy scenes, boring political scenes, songs of doomed love, injured extras with news of battle, and a grand finale of dancing dogs!

I quickly tried to learn all of Hamlet’s advice to the players for Ken Campbell’s mad show of genius, forgot my lines, delivered the first ‘nub’ of my career (something I think will prove useful in years to come), and got hit on the head by an apple chucked from the yard (a first, I have to say and something I am rather proud of). I was exhausted with laughing so much during the Ken Campbell show, but I was so deeply happy inside. So much brilliant irreverent creation and imagination.
