Also, from August 20th-24th under the direction of Ken Campbell, 5 national critics were invited to write reviews of imaginary musicals and then instructed to read them to The Showstoppers who immediately improvised them. The five shows were:

Schism! (Ian Shuttleworth, Financial Times)
An illicit love triangle at the Lambeth 2008 conference.

Stan The Man (Dominic Maxwell, The Times)
A woman driven by her obsession with Stanley Kubrick discovers her true origins.

Death-Defied (Seamus Allen, Rifco Arts)
Love stunts at the hand-over of Hong Kong as if directed by Jackie Chan.

I’m Here I Think, Where Are You? (Robert Dawson Scott, Scottish Television)
A science-fiction tale set in Ken Campbell’s brain.

Crop Circle! The Musical (Chris Grady, Musical Theatre Matters)
A community shattered by doubt and paranoia on 08/08/08.
